Erasmus+ staff mobility visit in Latvia

On the 21-24 March 2023, a group of lecturers from ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA/University of Applied Sciences – Edita GriÅ¡kÄ—nienÄ—, BirutÄ— RakauskienÄ—, Povilas Å aulys, Mindaugas Valaitis and Gintautas Stonys – took part in the Erasmus+ staff teaching and training mobility Programme in the Programme countries. The visit took place at Jelgava University of Life Sciences and Technologies. During this visit the lecturers gave lectures to the students of Jelgava University of Life Sciences and Technologies on the control and use of laser projectors for advertising purposes, explained the principles of operation of microcontrollers and sensors, and introduced the development and modification of the Arduino application code for mechatronic devices. In addition, they   performed experiments with the help of microcontroller and sensors to simulate certain human sensations and later applied them to control mechatronic systems. More so, the assignments related to mechanics by applying the capabilities and methodology of the MdSolids software were solved, kinematics equations to study the effect of the Earth’s gravity on the motion of bodies and ballistics were used. The lectures brought special equipment from ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA/University of Applied Sciences – laser projectors, microcontrollers, sensors, – and used it during the tasks for successful performance.
The lecturers communicated with their colleagues from Jelgava University of Life Sciences and Technologies, got acquainted with its material base, and discussed the opportunities of further cooperation between institutions, when organizing Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP).
