On 17-21 April 2023 ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA/University of Applied Sciences invited representatives of higher education sector and social stakeholders to meet at Science Week events and share scientific insights and discoveries. During the Science Week, which has already become a tradition, 3 conferences were held: international scientific practical conference “The Role of Higher Education in Society: Challenges, Trends, Perspectives 2023”, virtual scientific practical conference for students “The Role of Higher Education in Society: Students’ Applied Research 2023” and virtual international scientific conference “Studies in a Changing Business Environment”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Lithuanian Association of Economics Teachers.
114 presentations were made by authors from Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, the USA, Lithuanian higher education institutions, gymnasiums and the US UCONN Health Hospital. The students’ scientific practical conference attracted special interest. Research was carried out and presentations were prepared by 149 PhD students, graduate and undergraduate students, pupils and their advisors. Hopefully the conference and the events of the Science Week will inspire young researchers for the future – to become outstanding researchers and scientists.
Colleagues from Ostrava Technical University (Czech Republic), Prof. E.F. Szczepanik Higher Vocational School in Suwalki (Poland), Lomza University of Applied Sciences (Poland) and Armenian State University of Economics (Armenia) came under Erasmus+ mobility programme and gave lectures on Information Systems, Data Analysis and Marketing to the students of ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA/University of Applied Sciences. The participants not only attended the Science Week events, shared scientific ideas, but also explored the city of Alytus and visited Birštonas.
