2024-12-09

Successful implementation of international Erasmus+ project event at the Alytus Faculty On December 3–7, 2024, the event of international Erasmus+ KA2 project" Digital Educational Platform for Soft Skills and Culture of Labour Markets" /DEPS-Skills/ No. 2022-1-LT01-KA220-ADU-000085928 took place at the Alytus Faculty of Kauno kolegija HEI. During the event, participants focused on improving their soft skills and digital competencies, which are particularly essential in today’s labor market. This dynamic, innovative, and practical training brought together participants who engaged in both in-person sessions at the faculty’s auditorium and virtual sessions via the ZOOM platform.

The goal of this training was to provide participants with theoretical knowledge and allow them to apply it practically using the DEPS-Skills Moodle platform developed during the project. The platform features H5P gamified elements that encourage an engaging and active learning
process. Participants tested newly developed training modules covering topics such as professional ethics, time management, career planning, critical thinking, effective communication, creative problem-solving, emotional awareness, and more, and provided
feedback through surveys.
A session on critical thinking, led by experts from Poland – Dr. Kamil Zbroja and Dr. Marta Boguszewska – garnered significant attention. The experts presented the topic relevance in the age of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the importance of analyzing information and making well-reasoned decisions.
During the training, participants not only listened to presentations but also actively performed tasks, tested digital tools, explored H5P resources, and shared their teaching and learning experiences. Practical skills such as effective time management, improving communication, career planning, and teamwork in intercultural environments were particularly valued for their applicability to real-world labor market situations.
Involvement of Kauno kolegija HEI in the Erasmus+ KA2 project "Digital Educational Platform for Soft Skills and Culture of Labour Markets" (DEPS-Skills), co-funded by the European Union, marks another step in the institution’s efforts to implement the latest teaching and learning practices, promote lifelong learning, and develop digital solutions tailored to the needs of the modern labor market and diverse society.
