On May 8 – 12  2023 Associate professors of the Department of Engineering Dr Rytis Zautra and Dr Tomas Makaveckas visited ISEP Institute (Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto), Portugal, under the ERASMUS+ exchange programme.
Assoc. Prof Dr Rytis Zautra met the director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Fernando Jose Ferreira, and the director of the Department of Automotive Engineering Luis Miranda Torres, who introduced the training center, the peculiarities of pedagogical work and the scientific and technical base. Experience was shared on applied research methodology in automobile engineering, technological equipment, students works and cooperation perspectives.
Assoc. Prof Dr Tomas Makaveckas met the professors Teresa Neto, Isabel Teles and Maria da Luz Garcia of the Department of Civil Engineering, who introduced the research conducted in the Materials Science laboratory, and discussed the prospects for future cooperation, the possibilities for students and teachers exchanges, discussed the similarities and differences of Civil Engineering study programmes in ISEP and ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA/University of Applied Sciences. During the meeting with Prof Dr Tiago Abreu, who conducts scientific research in the field of water engineering sciences, the hydraulic and mechanical laboratories were visited, the ongoing research activities were introduced, specifics of students theses and other important academic issues were discussed.
